About

Even when I first embarked on my around-the-world expedition in 2006 I was pretty 'High-Tech'. I would arrive at a hostel, grab out my Powerbook and within minutes I'd be talking via bluetooth over Skype to my friends and family back in Australia.

In the years since, technology has continued to develop and although some still like to rough-it there are now gizmos, gadgets and applications to help you do almost everything along the way.

I am a slight mac evangelist so you'll do doubt see a few Apple-related products popping up in here. I'll try to be as unbiased as I can though.

This website is starting off with my experience and research into travel technology but I would like to encourage people to contribute, either by way of comments or by writing your own articles. If you are interested in contributing to the site please email me at chris@thehightechtraveller.com
